The fourth annual California Climate Policy Summit took place on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in Sacramento. Thank you to our speakers, sponsors, and to the 400 state decision-makers, elected officials, climate activists, environmental justice advocates, business leaders, scientists, and policy experts who joined us to build power behind accelerated, equitable climate action!

California State Senate President Pro Tempore

Mike McGuire was elected to the California State Senate in 2014, and re-elected in 2018 and again in 2022. He became the Majority Leader in 2022, and now serves as President pro Tempore of the Senate.

Cesar Aguirre

Associate Director of the Air and Climate Justice team at the Central California Environmental Justice Network

As the Air and Climate Justice Director at the Central California Environmental Justice Network and a co-founder of California Youth vs. Big Oil, Aguirre was part of the fight to get lifesaving oil and gas policies signed into law. These include 3,200-foot setbacks between communities and oil and gas wells and speeding cleanup of idle oil and gas wells.
