Tell CARB to Take Action

A rapid phased decommissioning of oil refining capacity in California is an essential part of achieving state climate goals and will allow our transition away from oil and gas to be just for workers. This is a critical component of equitably phasing out fossil fuels on a timeline that aligns with the science and current reality– while ensuring a healthy and vibrant future for all. Decommissioning can’t happen fast enough for the communities that have been plagued by fossil fuel pollution for decades. The time to start is now and planning is critical.

California’s Air Resources Board can initiate action by creating a decommissioning plan. Fill out the form below to send them a message, urging them to take action.
