Andrea Vidaurre (she/her) grew up in the “Inland Empire”of Southern California and graduated with a BA in Global Studies from the University of California, Riverside. She has lived at the intersections of multiple issues which led her to engage in work that advances her communities’ quality of life. Over the past couple of years, she has worked on environmental justice issues throughout the Inland Empire. She is a co-founder and policy analyst of the Peoples Collective for Environmental Justice, a community based organization focused on fighting environmental racism and finding solutions through community work.  

Lillian Mirviss is a strategic communicator and project manager focused on energy policy that pushes California towards its climate goals. Based in Sacramento, California, she manages Government Affairs for the Center for Sustainable Energy, walking the (virtual) halls of the Capitol to promote decarbonization legislation and ensure budgets for clean energy and clean transportation programs.

Ruben Aronin helps lead the Better World Group’s clean transportation, climate and clean energy portfolio. His demonstrated commitment to a clean economy has yielded enduring relationships throughout California and across the country with a vast network of stakeholders from nonprofit, media, government, philanthropy, and the private sector.

Ricardo Hidalgo serves as the Western Region Organizing Coordinator for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union.  For the last 15 years, Hidalgo has worked with port drivers throughout the United States focusing primarily on the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach.  He has dedicated his career to help bring resolve to the exploitation of working-class men and women.  As state and local governments have passed environmental policies to combat climate change, he has fought to ensure that the financial responsibility that comes with these policies does not fall on the backs of workers but rather their employers. 

Dr. Joseph K. Lyou serves as President & CEO of the Coalition for Clean Air.  In January 2020 he was appointed to serve on the California Transportation Commission by Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon. Dr. Lyou also served as the governor’s appointee to the South Coast Air Quality Management District Governing Board from June 2007 to March 2019. Prior to his work at CCA, he founded the California Environmental Rights Alliance, a public interest group dedicated to working on environmental justice issues. Dr. Lyou has spent 30 years helping community groups and concerned individuals with environmental protection issues, including air and water pollution, the clean-up of contaminated sites, and environmental justice. He previously held management positions with the California League of Conservation Voters Education Fund and Committee to Bridge the Gap. Dr. Lyou received his Ph.D. from UC Santa Cruz in 1990.

Tin Le leads the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s Clean Cars for All program. He’s been at the Air District for over five years and has worked on incentive programs for light duty electric vehicles, electric bicycles, public transit, charging infrastructure, bicycle parking, commercial lawn and garden, woodsmoke, and goods movement. Prior to joining the Air District, he managed federal technology grants in the private sector.
