It’s a sublime, one-of-a-kind evening of poetry and music performed in the ecstatic tradition, featuring the works of Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, Rilke, and others, and accompanied by live mystical music from the Far East.

5:45 PM Doors open for reception with wine and Persian appetizers and silent auction benefiting the Climate Protection Campaign

6:30 PM Open seating begins in Auditorium

7:00 PM Performance begins

Music of the Near East performed by the acclaimed Eliyahu & The Qadim Ensemble.

Performing Poets: Larry Robinson, Barry & Maya Spector, Carol Fitzgerald, Doug von Koss, Gwynn o’Gara, Kay Crista, Kim Rosen and Hari Meyers.

Ticket price includes authentic Persian appetizers, a glass of wine, and tea and cake at intermission .  The Caravan will also offer up a whirling dervish dance performance, a raffle and silent auction.

Lavish attire is encouraged!

Silent auction items are now open for bidding on Facebook here. Items include a Persian rug, a redwood river cottage getaway, handmade ceramic dinnerware, jewelry, and your own personal poetry party.

The event is a benefit for the Climate Protection Campaign.
