Matt Roberts

Matt Roberts serves as Director of Market Development with Blue Planet Energy, overseeing strategic initiatives for the rapidly growing microgrid and energy storage company. Matt has over 15 years of experience in energy policy, communications, and market development with a recognized expertise in renewables, distributed generation, and sustainable infrastructure. Prior to joining Blue Planet Energy, Matt was the first-ever Executive Director of the Energy Storage Association – helping guide and engage the industry through a complex period of rapid growth. Matt started his career as a House staffer and speech writer and has worked across the energy industry with organizations and companies focused on storage, solar, wind and geothermal energy policy and commercial deployment.
