The day after the fourth annual California Climate Policy Summit, we will host California Climate Lobby Day in Sacramento. This is a chance to meet with lawmakers and their staff to urge them to pass legislation that ensures a climate-safe future for all. Participants will be paired with a team leader and given a packet with talking points on key climate legislation.

Information for Participants
Participants must attend one of the trainings. If you registered but missed the training, email info@theclimatecenter.org to request a recording and have any questions answered.
Participants will be advocating for the following policies:
- SB 684 (Menjivar) / AB 1243 (Addis): Polluters Pay Climate Superfund Act
- AB 740 (Harabedian): Virtual power plants
- SB 279 (McNerney): Expanding medium and small composting facilities
- California’s Cap and Trade program: Reducing pollution while addressing affordability
The schedule for the day is as follows:
- 8:00 am: Check in and receive your attendee packet. Coffee provided.
- 8:30 am: Legislative briefing begins
- 10:00 am: Lobbying begins
- 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm: Lunch near the Capitol
- 1:30 pm: Lobbying resumes
- 3:30 – 5:00 pm: Drop off notes and debrief
The dress code for this event is business or business casual. We will be walking around the Capitol, so please remember to wear comfortable shoes.
