Webinar: Accelerating Electric Transportation with Community Choice Energy

Community Choice agencies (CCAs) have been engaged in advancing electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging infrastructure since 2015. Today, with 19 operational CCAs in California, a wide range of CCA EV programs are in the works. The California Energy Commission, under its California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP) program, has recently awarded CCAs substantial grants to empower them to develop charging infrastructure and more.

Join this webinar where CCA and other EV program experts will describe the latest program offerings and advances in EV and charging infrastructure deployment. Our presenters are Richard Schorske and Justin Zagunis. Richard is founder and Executive Director of the EV Alliance and the ZNE Alliance, and CEO of the E-Mobility Group. The Alliance partners with public agencies, utilities, and industry to achieve robust decarbonization goals. Justin is the Decarbonization and Grid Innovation Analyst for Silicon Valley Clean Energy, who will describe SVCE’s EV and EV infrastructure programs and what they hope to accomplish with the CALeVIP grant.

Justin Zagunis

Decarbonization and Grid Innovation Analyst, Silicon Valley Clean Energy

Justin supports Silicon Valley Clean Energy’s mission to achieve deep decarbonization by developing, deploying and evaluating innovative programs and technologies. Prior to SVCE, Justin worked at City of Palo Alto Utilities on demand side management program design, management and evaluation. Justin has a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Stanford University.

Richard Schorske

Executive Director, ZNE Alliance and EV Alliance

With extensive experience in energy and environment-related multi-stakeholder initiatives and market acceleration, Richard has founded and directed several public and nongovernmental organizations to drive large-scale GHG reduction impact and accelerate emerging clean energy technologies. Earlier in his career, Richard served as Executive Director of Workforce Silicon Valley, and as founder and Executive Director of the Marin Climate and Energy Partnership.
