Dr. Carl Mears, a climate scientist at Remote Sensing Systems and The Climate Center Board member, will offer insights on the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. He was one of its authors.

Jasmine Jolly, currently a sophomore at Windsor High School, will describe her experiences as a member of our Youth Advisory Board who presented on climate change as keynote speaker at the Youth for Environment and Sustainability Conference 2013, was a panelist for ECO2school 2015 and served as the Metropolitan Transportation Commission youth representative to the Spare the Air Youth Planning Committee. You can read about Jasmine’s experience on the ride as a 14 year old in this Press Democrat Teen Face 8/20/12 feature story.

Both Carl and Jasmine participated in the CA Climate Ride, and will share their stories of raising awareness for climate change from the road.

Bring a guest: If you bring a guest, we will enter your name in a raffle for a bottle of wine at the end of the talk. Please give us your guest’s name ahead of time so we can have a name tag ready.
