The Climate Center is proud to welcome Ross Markey to the team as a student intern. He will be spending a year working with us on projects related to expanding renewable energy and Community Choice Energy in California.
Ross is a Sonoma County native and is currently pursuing a B.A. from Sonoma State University in Environmental Studies and Planning. He held the position of Treasurer of the Student Planning Association in 2015, and continues to support the group in an advisory role. He has over fifteen years of customer service experience working with, and educating the public in the effective use of technology. Ross plans on continuing his education, first earning a GIS certificate from Santa Rosa Junior College, and later a graduate degree in an area of interest. Ross enjoys travel and spending his time away from work and school outdoors in nature. He is a cyclist and avid supporter of public transportation.
