CCP Welcomes Herb Williams to the Board of Directors

Herb Williams joins The Climate Center’s Board of Directors. Herb is the founder of
Delphi and has 50 years’ experience as a political consultant. It was through his
former survey firm that he became acquainted with Santa Rosa, where he
conducted the very first survey regarding the widening of Highway 101. Herb moved
to Santa Rosa in 1992 with his son, Jesse. Since then, he has focused on
Northern California issues and candidates. 

In Sonoma & Marin Counties, he has run 78
successful campaigns for 27 City Council Members, the Sheriffs of Sonoma and
Mendocino Counties, District Attorney of Sonoma County, and two former Sonoma
County Supervisors. He defeated a recall campaign in Rohnert Park, passed
Measure A that banned fireworks in Santa Rosa, and passed Measure O, a quarter
cent sales tax for public safety. Additionally, he has passed tax measures for three fire protection districts in
Sonoma County, and one in Marin County.

Herb has received recently the National
Outstanding Eagle Scout Award, the first in North Bay and the Redwood Empire
Council. He is a Board member, Wells Fargo Center for the Arts; Board member
Sonoma County Family Justice Center; Vice President for District Operations and
immediate Past President, Redwood Empire Council, BSA; Immediate Past
President, Children’s Museum of Sonoma County; Past Board member, National
Board of the Alzheimer’s Association and former President of the Northern
California-Northern Nevada Chapter of the Alzheimer Association; and past Board
Member, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce. He was heavily involved in the efforts
to create Sonoma Clean Power.
