VP of Public Policy for Sunrun

Walker Wright is the VP of Public Policy for Sunrun, the leading distributed solar, energy storage, and energy services company in the US. Over the years Walker has held numerous leadership positions in the clean energy space.

Previously Walker was VP of Policy for Green Charge, a leading energy storage software and development company, acquired by ENGIE (the world’s largest Independent Power Producer). At ENGIE Walker provided policy leadership to numerous subsidiaries, which included the top Public Sector energy services provider in California..

Walker was Sunrun’s Western policy lead from 2011 – 2016 and before that Walker focused on policy strategy for Petra Systems, a New Jersey based smart grid solutions provider, which in 2009 signed the world’s largest distributed energy contract. He holds a BA from Princeton and an Msc from The London School of Economics and Political Sciences. He resides in Oakland with his family and enjoys reading history and all things soccer.
