Sasan Saadat is a senior research and policy analyst based out of the California Regional office in San Francisco. Sasan works with the Right to Zero campaign to transform California toward zero-combustion energy and transportation. Sasan graduated from UC Berkeley cum laude with a BA in Philosophy and a BS in Environmental Studies. Previously, he was a Research Fellow at MSI Integrity, a non-profit tracking the human rights and environmental impacts of global sustainability standards. He’s also worked on sustainability policy for the City of Foster City, and on energy efficiency programs for low-income residents with the California Public Utilities Commission. He is passionate about community organizing, and spent a summer in Chiang Mai with EarthRights International, learning from Mekong communities that are resisting coal and hydropower projects.
