Rachel McMahon

Rachel McMahon is the Senior Manager, Public Policy at Sunrun. Rachel covers resource adequacy for clean resources, grid services, multiple use applications, storage in all grid domains, demand response with a focus on wholesale market participation, renewable energy (utility-scale and DG), climate policy, tariff design, and incentive program design. She worked for almost 6 years at the California Public Utilities Commission as a Senior Analyst on Market Structure and Design and also energy storage. Rachel has served numerous companies and organizations in government affairs and policy roles. She has a bachelor’s degree in government from University of California, Sacramento.
