Quinn Eide

Executive Director at Fossil Free California

Quinn is the Executive Director at Fossil Free California, an organization focused on building grassroots collaboration between labor and climate. Currently they are organizing climate allies to show up for climate-aligned union priorities such as Waters Edge and halting Return to Office, while also uplifting labor voices in Make Polluters Pay and other key climate issues. Previously, they led a coalition of over 200 organizations and 20 unions to push for the passage of fossil fuel divestment legislation. In that process, they worked closely with rank and file teacher and public workers to advocate for their unions to support divestment and develop their skills to become leaders in their unions and in the climate space. They also are part of Rich City Rays – a “kayactivism” group combining direct action with kayaking and reconnecting with the water. Quinn won FracTracker Community Sentinel Award and the 350 Climate Justice Award.
