Alyssa Goodstein is an award winning communications strategist, climber, yogi, meditator and former academic (Altac) / History Ph.D. student who transitioned to the political and advocacy world after graduating from UCLA and the University of Chicago.
Her work allows her to shape conversations and narratives to dismantle the widespread acceptance of economic inequality in the U.S. Throughout her studies, her primary interest was to understand the adoption of neoliberal policies at the expense of the masses, especially informal workers, in Latin America.
Creativity, collaboration, and open communication are at the core of her values. She is skilled in communications (public affairs, media relations and strategic communications emphasis), government relations, public policy, community outreach, and civic engagement.
In her spare time, she is actively involved in the Ashtanga Yoga and various mindfulness meditation communities. She first discovered yoga and Vipassana meditation at 19 years old and has been practicing ever since. Yogic and mindfulness principals are a guiding force in her life and she finds their application to the imperfection of everyday to be invaluable.
