Jeff Ilfeld transitioned into the renewable energy sector following an accomplished medical career. After completing his training in Internal Medicine at UC Davis Medical Center, he spent over twenty years at Kaiser Oakland Medical Center in various leadership roles, including serving as Associate Program Director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Driven by a lifelong love of the outdoors and a passion for climate action, Jeff became CEO of California Clean Energy in 2009. There, he focuses on creating innovative financing structures that allow organizations to adopt renewable energy without capital expense. He remains dedicated to leveraging every available tool to build a more sustainable climate future.
