Katy joined The Climate Center in April 2025 as the Carbon Drawdown Program Coordinator. In this role, she helps coordinate research projects and supports coalition efforts as they relate to nature-based and responsible carbon removal, and assists with other administrative duties for the program as needed.
Before joining The Climate Center, Katy was the Programs Coordinator for Architectural Nexus, where she oversaw daily office operations, supported social equity initiatives, and explored the intersection between sustainability and the built environment. She also worked as a Community Organizer for 350 Sacramento, where she led a grant program to help communities in Sacramento prepare for wildfires.
Katy holds a B.A. in International Relations from California State University, Sacramento. Outside of work, she loves to read, swim, and take her dog, Ebby, on adventures across California.
