Jina Kim is an Equal Justice Works Fellow at Communities for a Better Environment (CBE). She represents the California Environmental Justice Alliance (CEJA) in the Microgrid Equity Coalition, a collaborative group of organizations advancing environmental justice and equity outcomes in the California Public Utilities Commission’s Microgrids Proceeding. Her work includes advocating for community resilience and self-determination in clean energy microgrid deployment and strategic natural gas decommissioning. Previously, Jina was a public health researcher at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. She has a B.S. in Biology from Duke University, an M.S. in Environmental Health from Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, and a J.D. from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.
