Maro Kakoussian

Director of Climate and Health Programs at Physicians for Social Responsibility - Los Angeles

Maro Kakoussian is a climate and environmental health advocate advancing policy at the intersection of public health, environmental justice, and grassroots power building. She serves as Director of Climate and Health Programs at Physicians for Social Responsibility – Los Angeles and as Co-Coordinator for the STAND-LA Coalition, where she leads local and statewide campaign strategies to confront the health harms of the fossil fuel and petrochemical lifecycle and advance community-driven climate solutions. Maro also serves as President of the Los Angeles League of Conservation Voters, helping elect environmental champions and advance strong environmental leadership across Los Angeles County. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from University of California, Riverside.
