Juan Flores is a Community Organizer for the Center on Race, Poverty, and the Environment (CRPE). Juan is the lead organizer for CRPE’s Climate Justice Campaign and has led the organizing in its efforts to stop fracking and other extreme methods of oil extraction. Juan has led the organizing efforts to achieve a comprehensive state law that will provide a 2500 foot buffer zone from oil extraction in California’s communities. Juan is the lead organizer of CRPE’s Just Transition efforts which aim to achieve a just transition of oil workers to clean, safe, and unionized jobs.
